Through our association management agreement with Life Science Tennessee, Hall Strategies leads the organization’s advocacy efforts to advance policy positions important to its members. As a part of that work, we create and manage federal and state legislative policy days for Life Science Tennessee members to meet with Tennessee’s elected officials and lobby directly for high-impact policy changes. For five consecutive years a delegation of 15 to 20 Tennesseans has participated in “Life Science Tennessee Day in D.C.,” advocating directly to every Tennessee senator and congressman. In that time, Hall Strategies has helped Life Science Tennessee members in successfully advocating for the suspension of the federal medical device tax, more funding for health research and the passage of the U.S. House 21st Century Cures Act.

At the state level, Hall Strategies team members annually lead more than 40 Life Science Tennessee members for “Day on the Hill” in Nashville to lobby state government.  Through these efforts, we have helped garner critical attention of the ecumenic and health impact of Tennessee’s life science industry, which employs more than 40,000 at an average wage of $80,000. We have also assisted Life Science Tennessee in leading efforts to pass regulatory revisions that better support the industry as it continues to evolve.

Life Science Tennessee members met with Congressmen Marsha Blackburn to discuss critical federal policy initiatives during the organization’s Day in D.C. in March 2016
